Movie 'Revenge' Poster and Original Idea

This is my final and original idea of my movie poster for our film trailer 'Revenge'. As you can see both poster are very similar and I have not made many changes from my original idea. The changes I have made is the size of the image of the book. The reason for this is because I felt that the book is an important image contributing to the trailer and from our audience feedback they did not realise that the book was significant to the storyline. I also made this image bigger because the image of the hooded character was not as big as orginally planned so there was more space that need to be used within the poster. Another change that I have made from the original poster to the final image is the line that is used as a slogan. The orginal slogan for my trailer was "It's Not A Story Anymore". Once it came to this part of my poster I felt that the line didn't display the right kind of message that I wanted. To me "How Fast Can You Read?" shows the importance of the book more and it sounds mysterious to lead the reader to think, what is the significance of the book and why is speed important when reading this book. I felt it was necessary to move the names of the actors in the film to be above the title 'Revenge', because now there is more focus on the main image than who is in the film. A change that I have made that I did not realise until after my final poster was finished is that I've changed which hand the knife is being held in. But I feel that it looks better having the knife in the left hand instead of the right because if the knife was in the right hand then there would have been a focus on the hand instead of the hooded figure and the knife.
